Airiva is a modular, scalable and smart wind energy system consisting of an array of vertical wind turbines within a contemporary frame. The electricity generated can be used directly on site, stored or fed into the grid.

The Airiva Wind Energy System

Sustainable

Airiva’s manufacturing target is to use a minimum of 80% post-consumer and recycled materials. Circularity and environmental impact are fundamental drivers of our design and manufacturing objectives.

Flexible

Airiva’s modular design is capable of being scaled to reflect site-specific needs. Multiple units can be networked together to create a flexible, clean energy system suited to a broad diversity of use cases.

Compatible

A flexible alternative that can complement and supplement other distributed energy technologies and installations.

Smart

System and site information can be remotely monitored, providing visibility and control for geographically distributed installations.

Competitive

Airiva’s targeted LCOE is competitive both domestically and internationally against other smaller scale distributed energy resources.

About

Our Roadmap

The Airiva product concept and initial design was featured in a Fast Company article in late 2021 and received an overwhelming global response. Inquiries have included many large multi-national corporations, global real estate development firms, energy companies, municipal governments and public institutions.

Since that time, we have been working on engineering, development and testing to bring the product to market. Our current objective is to be initiating customer pilots in 2025 and accepting initial orders in 2026.

Who We Are

Jeff Stone

Co-Founder/CEO

Jeff Stone is a seasoned technology CEO with over 25 years of experience in building complex, high-growth companies in early to late stage environments. He brings a breadth of experience across numerous technology sectors with expertise in strategic planning, operations, business development and growth. Jeff has raised over $120m in venture capital, private equity and strategic financing and participated in multiple significant exits.

Joe Doucet

Co-Founder/Inventor

A designer, entrepreneur, inventor and creative director, Joe Doucet is one of the most sought-after creative talents working in America today. He has worked with many of the world’s largest brands and most innovative start-ups, as well as launching his own successful businesses. Joe has won numerous awards, including the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award, a World Technology Summit Award, as well as being acknowledged as the first ever AvantGuardian by Surface magazine and as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in Design.

Richard Hinzel

Co-Founder

Richard Hinzel studied Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science before going on to a career path which took him from journalism to advertising, brand building and design management. With experience in Europe, USA, Canada and Australia, Richard has worked with many leading global brands across a diverse range of categories, as well as helping to launch and grow numerous start-ups.

Ian Brownstein, PHD

Wind Engineering

PhD Mechanical Engineering. Ian is a Co-founder of XFlow Energy, a wind engineering consultancy firm and developer of advanced vertical axis wind turbines. XFlow provides Airiva with wind turbine systems analysis and optimization services.

Michael Belluomini

Engineering Project Management

Michael is an accomplished design and manufacturing engineer with more than 13 years of experience across a diversity of production and R&D environments. Beginning his career with medical device and product design companies on the East Coast, he progressed to working with aerospace startups in California including Virgin Galactic.
